who we are

In 2025, the future of northern air travel took flight with the launch of SiBi Air—a modern, community-driven airline built from the acquisition of Northern Thunderbird Air’s assets, including its fleet of King Air 350i aircrafts. But this was more than a transfer of planes; it was the birth of a new vision: one where safety, accessibility, and partnership with the North’s communities would redefine the skies.

While we inherited the technical excellence of Northern Thunderbird Air’s operations —we knew SiBi Air needed its own identity. These aircraft became the foundation of our renewed commitment: to serve Northern Quebec with faster response times, greater efficiency, and deeper respect for the people who depend on us.

Why the King Air 350?

  • Medevac Precision: With their pressurized cabins, long range, and ability to land on short runways, our King Air 350s are lifelines for remote communities, ensuring rapid medical evacuations even in harsh conditions.

  • Charter Reliability: Whether transporting business teams, cargo, or community members, these aircraft deliver safety and comfort without compromise.

  • Modern Upgrades: Under SiBi Air, every King Air 350 undergoes enhanced maintenance and pilot training, aligning with our “Safety First” pledge.

But SiBi Air is more than its fleet. Supported by the Cree Nation of Chisasibi and staffed by some of the most skilled pilots in the industry, we’re bridging gaps—not just between runways, but between cultures and opportunities. Our name, “Sibi” (meaning “river” in Cree), reflects this mission: to flow with adaptability, nourish growth, and connect what was once distant.

This isn’t just a rebrand. It’s a promise to the North—backed by proven aircraft, trusted partnerships, and a team ready to soar beyond expectations.
